Ecpat report: Project Indicators – An opportunity to detect payments for livestreamed child sexual abuse

News | Publish date: 7 Jun 2024

ECPAT Sweden’s Financial Coalition (Finanskoalitionen) was started with the aim of working together with the financial sector to prevent them for being misused for payments for sexual abuse of children.

The financial coalition today consists of 14 banks, Softronic and representatives from the National Operative Department within the police (NOA).

In 2020, the project Indicators was initiated within the framework of the Financial Coalition, with the goal of preventing payments for live-streamed abuse of children to take place.

Starting in May 2023, we started in CM1 to work with data analysis of anonymized transaction data from a bank.
